The local Home Depot has Gentex Commander horn/strobes all over the place in the store, so close together along with Gentex remote strobes. Seems overkill.
My college did the exact same thing. They used to have a bell system of sorts (Mostly Edwards bells, and a mix of different panels wired together I believe). They replaced the whole thing in 2009 with Honeywell XLS-3000s all networked together, and System Sensor Speaker/strobes and speakers everywhere.
