That’s actually not a 34T, that could either be an 892, 792, or even an Integrity.

Yes, Integrities once had horns that sound like 892’s/792’s.

  • Commanders in code-3.
  • TrueAlerts in code-3.

Featured Content on Myspace - This is what I meant to post (SpectrAlerts in Code 3).

I’ve been to that mall (Providence Place) several times. It’s cool to hear the alarms. I didn’t know that malls had fire drills.

It depends where you are. It’s law in some places that public buildings hold fire drills and if that’s the case, malls are no exceptions.

That will be interesting trying to get everyone out of the mall, it seems like most people ignore alarms in stores and malls, maybe because its mostly open space and they can see there is no fire and they figure that its safe.

Also most people see an alarm as a nuisance, and will often complain about the noise before they even think to evacuate. I’ve eyewitness this a few times, one of them being in the Meriden Square mall in Meriden CT (9219s).

You know you can’t just use your tiny world experiences as “most people” Any fire drill conducted in a mall is to see how security and other mall staff as well as store staff respond to an alarm. It is their as well as responding authorities job to conduct a drill to see how they react and what they need to fix in their procedures. There are procedures and systems in place to deal with the mall population at the time of the alarm. And actually? it’s easier that everyone does NOT evacuate. You would have a crowded parking lot, blocked entrance doors it would be a massive mess. It is usually security’s desire to “wait and see” and work on evacuating those who need to be evacuated. You don’t see the local police and fire dept handing out citations for those failing to follow a procedure do you? No you don’t…

Experience? Public safety and actually CONDUCTING fire drills

Same here. The only times I’ve seen alarms taken seriously were at school and college. Home - National Research Council Canada This article sums it up nicely.
