Integrities are rated for use on ceiling and wall I believe. I remember seeing some newer weatherproof ones that were ceiling mounted.
Correct, Integrities are rated for both wall and ceiling. However, the lettering on an Integrity is on a decal that must be manually applied, and there are different decals for wall and ceiling application. Although it’s hard to tell in these photos, it’s possible that the lettering on these strobes is oriented for wall-mounting.
Yea. Though, the devices would still be ADA compliant and therefore not be a fail. If I understand it correctly. It’s why the wall Advance is commonly found on the ceiling.
The wall-mount Advance is still relatively easy to read when ceiling-mounted, since the lettering can be read while looking at the front of the device as opposed to the sides. This is similar to how the original Siemens U-MMT horn strobes had lettering on the sides of the device, which was very difficult to read when ceiling-mounted, but the U-MMT-MCS moved the lettering to the front of the device so that it could be viewed more easily when ceiling-mounted.
I just like how we are ignoring the fact that mall only has 2 NAs.
may no longer be used
rip strobe.
that thing probably doesn’t work anymore
Yeah, the strobe probably stopped working when it’s lens broke, and the broken lens probably let water into the device and ruined the horn.
When the installer knows nothing about how fire alarms work and think it will just beep when they is a fire. No it don’t work like that mane.
There’s a lot of fails in the Bishop Museum in Honolulu and other electrical safety hazards in the buildings
When I was in Hawaii (especially Honolulu), I noticed that the workmanship on fire alarm systems and electrical work was comically bad. I also saw an insane amount of code violations in otherwise nice buildings.
