Now of course this is a Wheelock 10’ bell with a strobe mount(which in my opinion is an upside down, bell version of a Wheelock 7001)
But so far I haven’t found a picture of a bell like:
Now what is the exact model of this alarm(note this covers the original school layout which was built in 1967 however I’m pretty sure they had some sort of coded system before this but the current system can possibly be as old as the late 80’s or early 90’s. Maybe older)
No, it’s more like this:
Tech - I need a bell/strobe for this job.
Shop - What model number?
Tech - I have no freegin clue, 10" bell with a strobe, just call and order one.
Shop - Can’t do that, need a model number.
Tech - Ok, fine, call you right back.
[Tech then Googles “Wheelock bell strobe” and finds ridiculously long model number]
Tech - Ok, need a Wheelock 46T-G10-24-WS-24 Red 10" bell strobe.
Shop - I’ll order it this afternoon.
[Three days later Tech gets an Amseco SB1024-153075]
Tech - Why did I not get the Wheelock?
Shop - This one was $5 cheaper.
Tech - (thinking to himself) Then why the #### did you need the model number?!?
I can’t remember the model number, but its a System Sensor speaker-strobe. I’d love to have one, as I’m sure they’re hard to come by, but the only ones for sale are by a certain someone…
I don’t think anybody ever answered it, but I’m pretty sure I gave the answer somewhere. Its made by Ronan Engineering. The model number doesn’t easily come to mind, but I can’t check it right now.
